Spin excitations in ferromagnetic manganites
An effective one–band Hamiltonian for colossal–magnetoresistance (CMR) manganites is constructed and the spin excitations are determined. Fitting the experimental data by the derived spin–wave dispersion gives an eg–electron hopping amplitude of about 0.2 eV in agreement with LDA band calculations.
متن کاملElementary excitations in gapped quantum spin systems.
For quantum lattice systems with local interactions, the Lieb-Robinson bound serves as an alternative for the strict causality of relativistic systems and allows the proof of many interesting results, in particular, when the energy spectrum exhibits an energy gap. In this Letter, we show that for translation invariant systems, simultaneous eigenstates of energy and momentum with an eigenvalue t...
متن کاملthe relationship between learners critical thinking ability and their performance in the reading sections of the tofel and ielts test
the study reflected in this thesis aims at finding out relationships between critical thinking (ct), and the reading sections of tofel and ielts tests. the study tries to find any relationships between the ct ability of students and their performance on reading tests of tofel and academic ielts. however, no research has ever been conducted to investigate the relationship between ct and the read...

متن کاملCollective excitations and marginal stability of quantum Ising spin glasses
We solve the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick (SK) model in a transverse field Γ deep in its quantum glass phase at zero temperature. We show that the glass phase is critical everywhere, exhibiting collective excitations with a gapless Ohmic spectral function. Using an effective potential approach, we interpret the latter as being due to disordered spin waves which behave as weakly coupled, underdamped ...
